Big business is big because it’s organised. It has a system. The systems that businesses run by help to keep things running smoothly. They help to keep control over their operations. This is how to make your business profitable.

Therefore commercial vehicle tracking has become extremely popular with businesses. Even smaller businesses are now installing tracking systems into their fleet of vehicles because it helps to improve productivity and lower costs. If you have a fleet of vehicles, it helps to run the business that much more efficiently.

In fact businesses with just one vehicle are using vehicle tracking as a way of helping them to be better organised. It has been reported that there are an increasing number of quotes requests and sales enquiries to vehicle tracking companies which are for just one or two vehicles. This trend shows that vehicle tracking could grow significantly in the next few years.

GPS vehicle tracking devices work via satellites to work out their location and communicate this information to a computer via the same network that mobile phones use. This high tech equipment use to be very expensive, but now you can get tracking on a pay as you go agreement. This is what has made tracking ever more popular to smaller companies in the last year or two and will probably be what helps to continue to grow the industry over the coming years.

SAN FRANCISCO: Google Inc. has created a social networking site through its email service, in order to compete with Facebook.

The latest Gmail Social Network called Google Buzz has many features for communicating with friends and family as well as on Facebook. This network was launched a week after Facebook made changes in his website display.

Facebook put a list of friends who are online on the left on the front page, as well as Gmail. However, the features in Google Buzz will not reach Gmail user around the world that reached 176 million in just a few days.

Just like Facebook, Google Buzz users can update their status, sharing their think or what they do at the moment and share with the world. Buzz users can also view the status of others and comment on it. Buzz also can display video, photos, and links to a website.

Google’s Sergey Brin inventor was optimistic Google Buzz would succeed. The Facebook team just says a little comment on the Google Buzz. “We are very supportive of technology that can make the internet become more social. We are also waiting to see the development of Google’s Buzz,” said the Facebook team.

The rivalry between Facebook and Google has been heating up since Facebook sells 1.6% stake to Microsoft in 2007. Facebook then go further by recruiting advertising manager Microsoft, Sheryl Sandberg, the operations chief executive.

U.K. company Virgin Limited Edition recently announced the Necker Nymph, a three-person “aero-submarine” that can dive to depths of 36,000 feet – which is deeper than Mount Everest is tall.

The Necker Nymph vehicle is designed and built by San Francisco-based Hawkes Ocean Technologies and is based on the company’s DeepFlight series of submersibles.

Virgin bills the Necker Nymph as a “a new class of high-performance, positively buoyant vehicles which safely extend the overall capabilities of scuba, while offering the unique experience of underwater flight.”

Unlike conventional subs, which use ballast to sink in the water, the Necker Nymph uses “uses downward ‘lift’ on the wings to fly down to depth,” Virgin explained in a statement.

Each dive can last up to two hours, during which time the “hydrobatic” Necker Nymph can perform dolphin-like flips underwater. An open cockpit provides a near 360-degree viewing experience.

Virgin says the Necker Nymph has “near-zero” environmental impact: “Its positive buoyancy prevents the sub from landing on a reef, and its low light and noise emissions ensure the fragile ocean ecosystems remain undisturbed.”

But unless you’re incredibly wealthy, don’t expect to experience a ride aboard the Necker Nymph anytime soon. The craft is only available if you rent Necker Belle, Virgin’s 105-foot (32-meter) luxury catamaran. The boat’s weekly charter rate is U.S. $88,000. Rent the Necker Nymph will cost an additional U.S. $25,000 per week.

Virgin and its founder Sir Richard Branson have a reputation for building extreme vehicles. Virgin Galactic recently unveiled a space plane, called SpaceShipTwo, that will ferry tourists to suborbital space.

These crystals are red-orange and allow the creation of electronic devices more environmentally friendly.

Several types of computers can store information by using the character Ferro electric metal, or metal means it can create positive and negative pole when placed in an electric field. But, usually metal used is a rare species or toxic.

Now, Sachio Horiouchi from the National Institute of Science and Technology of Advanced Industrial Ibaraki, Japan, and his colleagues have discovered the nature of the material Ferro electric crystal croconic acid, which contains only carbon, oxygen, and hydrogen.

Croconic acid was found 170 years ago, but only in the last decade could be crystallized. When the Horiuchi team provides an electric field in the crystal at room temperature, they can turn the electricity poles.

But the researchers also saw that there was delay between the times the field is removed until the polarity of the crystal is turned. Horiuchi said, is regular for Ferro electric. Also, this is a clear sign that there is the ability to save and change the electric polarization. These findings suggest that croconic acid can lead to the creation of electronic equipment organic.

Marty Gregg of Queen’s University, Belfast, UK, stated, in fact already found other organic polymers that also have Ferro electric properties, for example polyvinylidene fluoride (PVDF). “But the organic system than PVDF Ferro electricpretty were cools enough, because it opens more possibilities for all kinds of organic equipment.”

However, he also warned that the results of Horiuchi team also showed that the acid may be too slow because polarity changes to be used as RAM (random access memory for computers) that are ferroelektrik. “But I think these findings will remain warm welcome.”

IBM Hardware and software giant’s has unveiled the latest version of its Power processors, which will form a foundation for companies green IT efforts. This type of Green power processors helps into new revenue streams. IBM is keen to tap into users’ energy concerns while boosting revenue.

The Power7 uses a 45 nanometer process. Each Power7 processor has up to eight cores and four threads per core. That’s four times the maximum number of cores and eight times the number of threads per chip as the Power6.

The Power7 has a TurboCore mode, which is optimized for database and other transaction-oriented workloads. This runs with four cores active and with most of the resources from the other four cores behind the eight active cores. Doing this gives the four active cores more cache memory and memory bandwidth and increases their clock speeds.

Power7 technology has “intelligent threads,” meaning the number of threads varies depending on the workload. More threads increase total capacity, and fewer threads increase individual processing tasks, such as real-time analytics and database transactions.

Active Memory Expansion, a new Power7 technology, dynamically adjusts the amount of compressed memory required based on a workload’s needs. This expands the memory capacity of Power7 systems without requiring the installation of more physical memory. A server using Active Memory Expansion can handle up to 65 percent more transactions or users than servers without this feature, according the IBM’s estimates.

Intelligent Energy technology in the Power7s lets customers power on and off various parts of the system, or dynamically increase or decrease processor clock speeds based on thermal conditions and system utilization. They can do this on a single server or across a pool of multiple servers.
